Over 15 years ago, in the heart of Carcar, a humble passion turned into a thriving business. It all began when Ungkol Bardinas, once a dedicated chicharon vendor, discovered his love for cooking and decided to try making his own. Driven by curiosity and a deep appreciation for flavor, he crafted his first batch of homemade chicharon.
With the constant support of his wife, Ma. Theresa Bardinas, they took the leap and started their own small business. It wasn't long before word spread—Ungkol's chicharon wasn’t just crispy, it had the kind of rich, savory taste that reminded people of home. Demand quickly grew, and so did their dream.
As their name became trusted in the community, they expanded their offerings—introducing their own take on Ampao, a light yet flavorful rice delicacy made with care and tradition. Each piece carried their signature touch, blending old recipes with their heartfelt dedication.
